What is a Giclée?
The French word giclée (pronounced Zee-CLAY) comes from
the French verb giclér meaning "to squirt or to spray".
The "giclée" print format is a vibrant medium for art and
connotes an elevation in printmaking technology that uses
fade-resistant dye or pigment-based inks. Giclées are superior to traditional lithography in several
ways, and the colors are brighter and last longer.
